BA Cash & Carry Annual Awards Evening

Landmark Wholesale Member, BA Cash & Carry recognised the efforts of Retailers, Suppliers and staff at their recent awards evening.

The BA Club Member of the Year award went to Lifestyle Express in Caerphilly run by Mr & Mrs Sandhu for the way they have transformed the store and have increased sales ‘exponentially’. Runner up was Mr Saleem of Lifestyle Express in Cardiff.

The Best Newcomer award went to Mr & Mrs Singh of Lifestyle Express, Bryncae which was converted to Lifestyle Express Evolution in October 2010 and the Lifestyle Own Label award went to Mr & Mrs Williamson who own the Lifestyle Express store in Mountain Ash which has increased turnover by well over 100% since its conversion to Lifestyle Express in May 2010.

The award for the Most Improved Retailer went to Mr Kalairupan of the Lifestyle Express store in Aberdare; sales increased dramatically following a full Lifestyle Express Evolution re-fit.

The Supplier of the Year Award went to Molson Coors Brewers for their ‘Cold Beer Club’ initiative and being BA’s leading Supplier in the Beer, Wines and Cider category.

Special Achievements Awards went to staff members Adele Lloyd for 25 years of service, Steve Jones who is retiring after 20 years with the Company and William Morris who is retiring after 17 years.

BA Director and Landmark Board Member, Zahier Ahmed said, “Lifestyle Express has been a fantastic success for both ourselves and our Retailers. On the awards’ evening, some of the winners were grabbing the microphone to praise the Lifestyle Express Store Development Programme for the way it has helped to secure their livelihoods.”

Landmark Wholesale Managing Director, Martin Williams said, “BA was the Landmark Wholesaler of the Year for 4 years running; they have put a tremendous amount of effort into Lifestyle Express and they are one of our most successful Own Brand Members.”
